Elk River Group Lodge is a unique
facility, which enables several members of a group to stay in the same dwelling. It is
especially attractive to family reunions, church retreats and fishing clubs. The setting
for the lodge is within a cove off of Elk River. It is a facility of Joe Wheeler St. Park,
but is located approximately 10 miles from the main park area. A boat ramp is available in
this area to access Elk River.
13 bedrooms are located inside the lodge and the capacity of the lodge is 30 persons.
The commercial type kitchen is a plus for large groups. A deep fryer, restaurant style grill and commercial icemaker, make serving your group easier. At the entrance to the building is a day room that serves as an area to socialize or hold a small meeting. Linens are provided as well as tableware and a limited amount of cookware.
To make reservations for this facility you may call the main park office Mon.-Fri. from 8 AM until 5 PM. We accept reservations up to one year in advance.
